    Single Vision

Single Vision lenses are the standard eyeglass prescription. These glasses are for one field of vision across the entire lens. Single vision glasses can be prescribed for distance vision, near-vision reading glasses, or computer-distance glasses. There are no lens height requirements for single vision prescriptions.

    Progressive lenses

Progressive lenses include three fields of vision, without lines. In progressive lens, the shape of the corrected part of the lens is approximately that of a funnel or mushroom. The top portion is used for distance-vision, the middle portion (corridor) for mid-range vision, and the bottom portion for the near-vision or reading.

    Reading Glasses

The lenses are intended for seeing details at a close distance and most commly used for reading. It's usually indicated by a plus ( + ) sign next to the numbers under the "sphere" category of your prescription.

    No-Prescription

Look to get glasses as accessories but don't require a prescription? Select non-prescription which means without prescription.

    Frame Only

Look to get glasses as accessories but don't require a prescription? Select non-prescription which means without prescription.

    SPHERE (SPH)

SPH, for Spherical, refers to the refractive correction in the prescription.  Minus (-) are for near sightedness, and Plus (+) values are for far sightedness.   If "PL" or "Plano" is written for the either SPH value on your prescription, you should select a value of 0.00.

OD-SPH is spherical correction for your RIGHT eye.

OS-SPH is spherical correction for your LEFT eye.

    CYLINDER (CYL)

CYL, for Cylinder, refers to the strength of the correction for the astigmatism in the eye. It can be either positive or negative. If there is a CYL value on an eye, there must be an Axis value.

If "DS" or "SPH" or "spherical" is noted in the CYL space on your prescription, you have no astigmatism in that eye.  In that case, enter 0.00 in both the CYL and Axis.

OD-CYL is cylinder correction for your right eye.

OS-CYL is cylinder correction for your left eye.

    AXS AXIS

AXS, or Axis, refers to the angle of the correction for the astigmatism in the eye (if one exists) from 1 to 180.  If there is an Axis value on an eye, there must be a CYL (Cylinder) value on that eye.  If there is no Cylinder value or if the value is zero, the OD Axis value is entered as 0.00.

The Axis value is usually written as 3 digits, which means if your Axis value is 5, it is often written as 005. This Axis value is still 5, regardless of how it is displayed.

OD Axis is Axis correction for your right eye.

OS Axis is Axis correction for your left eye.

    Prism

Prism is a measure in prism diopters. The most common application for this is the treatment of strabismus. In eyeglasses, prisms are used primarily for double vision, positional correction, or convergence correction. By moving the image in front of the deviated eye, double vision can be avoided and comfortable binocular vision can be achieved.

A lens which includes some amount of prism correction will displace the viewed image horizontally, vertically, or a combination of both directions. In an eyeglass prescription, the base is typically specified as up, down, in, or out. Prism corrections are available only for single-vision prescriptions, not progressives.

    Pupillary Distance (PD)

Pupillary Distance (PD) is the distance, in millimeters, between the center of one pupil to the center of the other. The PD is needed to manufacture your eyeglasses because it determines the exact optical center of the lens, which is the point where you look through the lens. An average PD measurement is 63 mm, but varies by person. If you don’t have your PD, you can find out how to measure it here.

    Lenses Coatings
    Standard Anti-reflective Coating

Anti-reflective coating (also called "AR coating" or "anti-glare coating") improves vision, reduces eye strain and makes your eyeglasses look more attractive.

These benefits are due to the ability of AR coating to virtually eliminate reflections from the front and back surfaces of your eyeglass lenses. With reflections gone, more light passes through your lenses to optimize visual acuity with fewer distractions (especially at night), and the lenses look nearly invisible — which enhances your appearance by drawing more attention to your eyes and helping you make better "eye contact" with others.

    Super Hydrophobic Coating

The Super Hydrophobic coating is the most effective way of keeping your lenses clean.

The coating prevents liquid accumulation and smearing on the lens. Instead of clinging to the lens, water molecules cling to other molecules, forming droplets and rolling off the lens without leaving any smudges.

It also repels grease and prevents fingerprint stains from appearing on the lens, making it much easier and quicker to clean.

    Oleophobic Anti-Reflective Coating

Oleophobic coating provides a certain amount of finger smudge resistance to your eyeglasses and the highest surface protection with an extremely thin coating.

The oleophobic layer also has a slightly slippery feel to it, which makes our gadgets feel slick to the touch. This also helps the glass be more scratch resistant, as a reduced friction will cause dangerous materials to slide off the surface, rather than damaging it.
